Momentum, as defined by the Encarta dictionary, means capacity for progressive development and/or movement forward. It is a word that most of us would like to conquer within our daily lives. Let’s break it down a bit, to have the capacity for progressive development is extremely thought provoking.
It sounds so simple. You would like to think that you have the capacity for progressive development but many times this is not the case. It is easy to think you want something, a want surfaces in a moment’s time but does it have merit? If this thought is not welcomed and really engaged by your body and spirit also, it really is just a pipedream.
If you are truly embracing your want with the combination of your mind, body and spirit you will gain the momentum to achieve success.
Are you wondering what might keep you from embracing the capacity to move forward with something you actually want? Perhaps, you do not want to expend the energy and hard work to make it happen. It is easy to say, “I want this” but much more difficult to engage genuine physical action to enable achievement. If this is the case, it really isn’t a sincere want. Self-sabotage can also block your spirit from embracing something that your mind is adamant to obtain.
For example, core fear can stifle your spirit and keep you imprisoned in a dead-end job (one that doesn’t fuel your passion) or a dead-end relationship. The fear of being unemployed, especially in this economy or to be alone is extremely daunting and very real.
But, if what you want is worthwhile, it will entice your spirit. And, this enticement will gift energy. Then once you really wrap your mind around your dream, you can figure out how to move forward. This is how you manifest momentum in your life.
Momentum is life altering; it is the ultimate tool needed to achieve success. Think about it. Allow this thought to attach and intertwine with your dream then engage your body and spirit and hold on tight. It is an exciting ride!
