AARP's politics have given many conservatives cause for concern throughout the years, so much so that two conservative political alternatives arose for those age 50 and above - 1) The Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) with over 1 Million members and 2) American Seniors Association (ASA) with 1.5M members. A Christian alternative to AARP has also taken root by the name of CAP - an acronym for Christian Association of Primetimers.

CAP boldly declares from the homepage of it's website: "We are your Christian non-political association for people in their prime."

Founded by Joe Jones of Jones Publishing, Inc., located in Iola, Wisconsin, "CAP takes the focus off of political advocacy and social change and puts it on values that will strengthen and deepen your faith while you enjoy living life to the fullest."

CAP provides an ever-expanding list of member benefits that appeal to their target demographic group both financially and spiritually.

Current benefits include, but are not limited to:

  • Discounts on auto, hotels, and travel groups
  • Discounts on individual insurance for health, home, and auto
  • Savings on real estate, mortgage services and moving expenses
  • Discounts on Christian magazines
  • Prayer Request from a CAP Association Team member

The added benefit of personal prayer is not available through AARP, AMAC, or ASA, and is perhaps the most telling example of an organization that truly cares about meeting a member's needs, and obviously believes in an all-knowing God who hears and responds to our petitions on behalf of a brother or sister in the Lord.

As CAP posts on it's website: "For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." ~ Romans 12:4-5

So if you or someone you know believes in the strength and unity of joining together with like-minded believers, be sure to let that person know CAP membership is available to residents of the United States and Canada in the prime of their life.

California currently boasts the most CAP members of any state.

Bi-Monthly Newsletters are mailed directly to each member's household (spouses of members are provided with their own free membership) for the low annual fee of just $14.95. Additional years are just $10 each. ($24.95 for two years; $34.95 for three years)

CAP's website is located at New members can join online, or purchase a gift subscription for others, by using a Visa, Master Card, American Express, or Discover card.
