Canton Flea Market -(MPB)
The Canton Flea Market Arts & Crafts Show hits the historic downtown square on Thursday.
The day long event draws thousands from miles around each year.
Over 1,100 vendors are expected to participate in the show-- selling clothing, jewelry, home decor and furniture.
Officials with the Canton Visitors Bureau expect about 50,000 people to attend the event.
(The flea market is held twice a year from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the second Thursday in May and October)
The Canton Flea Market's success is greatly dependent on the weather, considering this is an outdoor event.
So what will the weather be like on Thursday?
A cold front moved through most of Northern and Central Mississippi by early Wednesday afternoon, allowing slightly cooler and drier weather conditions to move into the state, but this front will move back to the north on Thursday, allowing very warm and humid conditions to surge to the north.
It will feel more like Summer than Autumn on Thursday, with high temperatures in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees across Central and Southern Mississippi and low to mid 80s across Northern Mississippi.
Heat indices will approach the mid and upper 90s across Central and Southern Mississippi, Thursday afternoon.
There is a slight chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm during the afternoon.
(Cold Front transitions into a Warm Front and moves north on Thursday)

Everyone attending the Flea Market should stay weather conscious and be prepared for Summer-like heat on Thursday.
