Tip-off for home opener is set for November 23, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.

It promises to be another exciting year for the Canton Charge as they defend their East Division title. The first game of the season will be at Erie as the Charge battle the BayHawks (New York Nicks affiliate) on Friday, November 22nd at 7:00 p.m. The next night they will be home at the Canton Memorial Civic Center for the home opener against the Delaware 87ers (Philadelphia 76ers affiliate).
In all, the Canton Charge will be participating in 50 regular season games consisting of 24 home games and 24 contests on the road plus two mid-January matchups at the annual NBA D-League Showcase held at Reno, Nevada.
Of the 24 home games, 16 will be played on weekends with five slated for Friday, eight on Saturday and three on Sunday. The Charge will be facing East Division opponents for 32 games on the schedule, 11 games against Central Division opponents and five West Division games.
Of the thirteen first games of the season, nine will be played at home with the first contest against the brand new Delaware 87ers (Philadelphia 76ers affiliate) on Saturday, November 23 at 7:00 p.m. The Charge will be playing against Delaware and Springfield for a schedule record eight times over the season. The longest stretch of home games will be from March 8 to 15, 2014. There will also be a six game road trip from January 2 to 19, 2014 plus two more games during that period at the Showcase in Reno, Nevada. There will be 17 back to back game sets with six at home, seven on the road and four splits.
On February 18, 2014, the defending D-League Champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers (Houston Rockets affiliate) will travel to Canton for one game and the Charge will be in Santa Cruz on January 4, 2014 to face the D-League runner up Warriors (Houston Rockets affiliate).
The Canton Memorial Civic Center will be the site of a pair of weekend games against the Los Angeles D-Fenders (Los Angeles Lakers affiliate) on March 14 and 15, 2014. Playoff rematches of last season will be played against the Tulsa 66ers (Oklahoma City Thunder affiliate) on April 14, 2014.
