Canton Charge “In the News”: Charge Gets Road Win Over Skyforce

The Canton Charge was in the driver’s seat for a majority of the night en route to a 107-95 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Saturday night.  The victory was Canton’s second in as many days and improved them to 15-16 while Sioux Falls fell to 8-23.

Manny Harris notched his third double-double of the year with a game-high 24 points, 13 rebounds five assists, two steals and two blocked shots in 41 minutes.  Manny has scored in double figures in 12 straight games and in 14 of 15 games he’s played in this season.  Frank Hassell provided a double-double for the second-straight night with 14 points and 12 boards in just 20 minutes off the bench.  It was Frank’s eighth double-double of the season.

Trey Gilder, who was part of a sign-and-trade from Canton to Sioux Falls earlier this year, led the way for the Skyforce with 24 points in 35 minutes.  Marqus Blakely had 20 points and seven boards off the bench.  Tonight’s defeat was Sioux Falls’ seventh in their last eight games.  The season series now finishes in Canton’s favor at 2-1.

Tyrell Biggs supplied 12 points, six rebounds and three blocks in 33 minutes.  The Charge’s nine team blocks in the game were a new season-high.  T.J. Campbell had 17 points, four rebounds and four assists in 38 minutes from the point position.   Antoine Agudio scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting in 36 minutes off the bench.

After outrebounding Fort Wayne 51-25 last night, Canton continued to clean the glass by a 53-38 margin over Sioux Falls tonight.  The Skyforce were just 1-of-14 from the three-point line in the game, while Agudio and Campbell each were 2-of-3 from beyond the arc.  The two came into tonight first and second respectively in the D-League in three-point shooting percentage.

The Charge will next travel to the Southwest for a two-game set with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers starting Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
