Kevin Jones (Canton Charge 6’8” Forward from West Virginia) has been chosen to play in the 2014 NBA Development League All Star Game in New Orleans on February 15, 2014.

Jones will be one of the players of the “Futures” team that will be coached by Canton Charge Head Coach Steve Hetzel plus his assistant coaches Jordi Fernandez, James Posey and Nate Reinking with Head Athletic Trainer Mike Gittinger rounding out the staff.

This is the first time Kevin has been asked to participate during his two year tenure with the Canton Charge and the D-League. Jones spent 2012-2013 as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers with stints on assignment with the Charge and was brought in to the team as a returning player for this season.

Jones has started all 27 of Canton’s games and is currently averaging 16.0 points on .514 shooting to go along with 7.3 rebounds and 0.7 steals in 29.7 minutes per game.

The Canton Charge coaching staff has led the Canton Charge to an 18-11 record so far this season and first place in the East Division. Allowing just 98.7 points per game by opponents and shooting 47.9% from the field Hetzel and staff won their trip to New Orleans with a tie breaker against Nate Bjorkgren and staff of the Iowa Energy.

The eighth annual NBA D-League All-Star Game takes place on Saturday, February 15, at Sprint Arena inside NBA All-Star Jam Session at New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The game will air live on NBA TV at 3 p.m. ET.

Canton next home at the Civic Center will be Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. where they will face the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, with tickets starting at just $7! To purchase single game tickets or for all general ticket information, fans can call 1-866-444-1944 or
