Canon PIXMA printers and app put kids in touch with Santa

In this age of social media and instant messaging, something has been lost when it comes to kids sending letters and cards to Santa and wondering if they will get a reply.

But a big thanks is due to Canon U.S.A., the maker of camera, printers and more for creating the North Pole PIXMA app for Facebook, where kids and parents can use their creativity to make a holiday wish that will directly be sent to Santa’s busy workshop at the North Pole. They can then magically and watch it be printed out on a Canon PIXMA printer using cloud technology.

Yes, cloud in like what Santa flies through on his journey every Christmas Eve.

“Through the North Pole PIXMA app, Canon enthusiasts can further tap into the magic of the holidays and fully experience the ease of use of Canon PIXMA printers,” says Canon's Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice president and general manager, Imaging Technologies & Communications.

This is about as interactive as kids can get with the goings on at the North Pole.

Now, children can write, draw or use pre-setup images to make their holiday wish to Santa. When the wish is complete, it will sent via cloud technology to Santa’s workshop, where the kids will be see a video of Santa receiving their wish printed on a Canon PIXMA printer. What could be better?

Not much, thanks to the Canon PIXMA printer.

PIXMA printers use cloud technology so you can print directly from popular cloud platforms like Facebook, Twitter®, Flickr®, Dropbox® and even EVERNOTE®.

The Canon North Pole PIXMA app will be available on the Canon Facebook page until December 24th. If you are on Facebook, you can use the app.
