Canon issues product advisory for ELPH 330 HS, offers free repair service

Canon has just acknowledged a long complained about online phenomenon associated with the ELPH 330 HS pocket point and shoot wherein the camera randomly powers down, warns of a low battery, or won't turn on at all despite a fully-charged battery.

So, what of the problem?

According to Canon's product advisory, testing has shown that some of the ELPH 330HS cameras have bad battery contacts, which is why the cameras won't recognize the battery as charged, which in turn is causing all sorts of problems with proper operation of the camera.

If you are having such problems with your camera, use the following contacts to get the ball rolling on getting your camera fixed, which Canon is offering to do for free.
