The devastation of the Brisbane Australia floods last week has the country cleaning up as the country is starting the cleanup process today has been dubbed ‘Salvation Saturday.’ Armed with brooms, mops, buckets and anything else to soak up the water, thousands of residents are looking to use elbow grease to dig out from the sludge and water that remains behind.
A new video that is trending on Youtube shows the devastation of the flood has an interesting look at the popular McDonald’s Restaurant via a canoe. The water was so high that a couple of mates took out their canoes and rowed into the popular vacant restaurant. The water was up to the counter and it appears that the door was busted with the weight of the water. Floating around, the camera shows just how high the water rose with the window bottoms being the baseline of the waterline.
According to CTV on Saturday, the water has caused billions in damage and it will take a while for the residents to get back to normal.
In Brisbane, the country's third-largest city, some of the flooding has receded, leaving behind a smelly sludge and nearly 30,000 damaged homes and businesses.
The video of the Canoeing in McDonalds is shocking to see as the water levels appear to be almost neck high. Check out the video clip but don’t expect to see anyone on the fryer.
