Canoe and Kayak Nights, Sponsored by Jasper County Conservation Board

Des Moines Hidden Adventure Examiner

Starting May 26th, the Jasper County Conservation Board is hosting the Open Canoe and Kayak Nights at Krumm Preserve and Rock Creek State Park.  For a small $5 donation, anyone can rent a kayak or canoe for the entire evening of the event, which runs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Three event dates are as follows:

Thursday, May 26th, Krumm Preserve

Thursday, June 23rd, Rock Creek State Park

Thursday, July 21st, Krumm Preserve

Other JCCB sponsored events for the 2011 summer include the “Hook, Line, and Sinker Fishing Derby” on Saturday, June 4th, at the Izaak Walton League, and the “Skunk River Clean Up” on Sunday, June 26th.
