This morning the jury trial of “The Cannibal Cop”, Officer Gilberto Valle, resumed in New York City.
Officer Valle is accused of conspiring with other Internet freaks and fetish mongers who expressed an interesting in killing and eating women.
Valle, 28, was arrested in Oct. 2012, and has been held without bail since then. He maintains that he never followed through with any of his online fantasies, although his online passion had consumed him and was “ruining his life.”
The New York Post, just minutes ago, published news that one of Officer Valle’s online contacts had allegedly wanted to eat a woman who worked at a local Chinese restaurant in the United Kingdom.
The FBI’s Agent Anthony Foto testified that Officer Valle acknowledged that” his fetish of kidnapping, killing and eating women wasn't satisfying and claimed he would not have gone through with it.”
Valle had only been under investigation by the FBI a few weeks when the arrest was made.
The government is wrapping up the bizarre details of this case and hopes to see the conclusion by the end of the week.
