Greenville County Animal Care Services, a high-kill shelter in upstate South Carolina, currently has more than 100 dogs on their urgent dog list.
Many of these dogs will be euthanized before a home, rescue or foster can be found. In most cases, a sick dog is even harder to find a home for.
According to their Facebook album, the dogs pictured in this slideshow are currently being treated for various upper respiratory issues. They need a foster home as soon as possible. Not only to get them off of the urgent list, but so they can recover in a peaceful environment.
Several have longer bio's on the urgent dog album found here.
The dogs here have their names listed with their photo. Many have their ID numbers as well. For the ones who don't please include a photo when you email the shelter to offer to foster one of these dogs.
Please share these dogs with your friends, with the hope that all get a home before it's too late. If you can help, email the shelter at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to list the dogs name and ID number if available.
