Canine Cruises set sail in Chicago

The 2014 maiden voyage of Mercury's Canine Cruise set sail on Sunday July 6 with one of it's signature 90 minute tours around Chicago. Four legged guests and their human companions enjoyed a cruise down the Chicago River and Lake Michigan while highlighting some of Chicago's best pet friendly attractions and businesses.

Mercury's Canine Cruise will be departing Sundays from July 6 - September 28, 2014 at 10:00 am and will take place aboard the lovely (and pet friendly) "Skyline Queen." Outdoor seating is available for the furry cruise guests on the deck, in their own seats, or in the lap of their two legged chaperon. Pet amenities include water bowls with fresh water, and a dog restroom area lined with newspapers.

This is Chicago's only canine cruise, and it departs from the southeast corner and lower level of the Michigan Avenue bridge and Wacker Drive. The Mercury Canine Cruise welcomes all leashed and well behaved dogs aboard it's tours. The company also supports the Anti Cruelty Society and has held fundraisers and benefit cruises to aide the cause and raise donations. The Anti Cruelty organization helps with the adoption of lost and unwanted animals while offering classes, educational, and medical care throughout the Chicago area.

Tickets for the Canine Cruises are available for purchase online in the Mercury Cruise Online Store, or at the ticket office which opens at 8:30 am daily. Cruise ticket rates are: Adults $31 / Kids (under 12) $11 / Dogs $8 / (Human) Kids under 3 rides free, and groups of 20 or more may be eligible for group discounts.
