The town of Augusta, Missouri will hold their annual Candlelight Christmas Walk from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. on both December 2nd and December 9th.
If you've ever thought those Christmas cards that depict quaint little towns decorated in festive wreaths and glowing candles looked like the perfect place to celebrate the holiday season, then the Candlelight Christmas Walk in Augusta, Missouri is just the place for you! In Augusta, you'll experience an old-fashioned Christmas with shops decorated for the season, horse-drawn carriages lining the streets and over 1500 luminaries casting a magical glow across the town.
Enjoy the sights of the town while snuggled under a blanket in a horse-drawn carriage. At the end of your tour, the horse and carriage ride will deliver you to the bonfire area, where you can warm up with roasted chestnuts. Or, if you prefer, hop aboard the trolley and visit the unique shops that Augusta has to offer. Many shops have handcrafted gifts such as jewelry and glassware that are perfect for Christmas gift-giving.
Christmas carolers will fill the church to bring the sounds of Christmases past and add to the charm of this beautiful small town. Of course, if you still want a touch of modern-day celebrating, the Ralph Butler Band will be on hand at the nearby Mount Pleasant Winery to bring you a more contemporary sound.
