Candice Wiggins produces when it counts in WNBA win

Former Stanford standout Candice Wiggins did her best work when it mattered most on Saturday, leading the Minnesota Lynx to an important 76-68 WNBA victory over the Seattle Storm in Minneapolis.

Wiggins finished with 18 points, but it was the timing of her production that was more impressive than the total.

She scored nine of her points in the final 4:37 of the game, including all six of the Lynx's points in the last 1:12 of the fourth quarter.

She converted a three-point play with 4:37 left that got the Lynx within a point, and with 1:12 to go Wiggins converted two free throws to give Minnesota a four-point lead.

She made a jump shot with 29 seconds left to make it a six-point Lynx lead, and after getting an offensive rebound, Wiggins made two more foul shots with 15 seconds left to set the final eight-point margin.

With the win, Minnesota stayed one game behind San Antonio for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
