Candice Glover channels John Legend with 'Ordinary People' on 'American Idol'

Candice Glover performed a unique rendition of a John Legend song during "American Idol" Tuesday night.

Gracing the stage with a somewhat jazzed up version of "Ordinary People," Glover impressed the panel of judges with her unique take on the hit song.

"You have this old soul thing, but you make it so current," said an impressed Keith Urban.

Speechless after the performance, Nicki Minaj did not opt to say anything. She simply gave Candice Glover a salute with her hand and moved on to Randy Jackson, who gave a quick review also.

"I love that you're one of the best singers in the competition. We might need a wild card or something," Jackson said, noting the fact that Glover was the last performer of the night. "I don't know what's going to happen."

Rounding out the panel, Mariah Carey thanked Candice Glover for the strong performance.

"Thank you for that performance and sharing your gift with us because you know it's amazing. Imagine how everybody else felt," said Carey.

Did you enjoy Candice Glover's performance and do you think she will make it to the next round?

"American Idol" returns Wednesday night on FOX.
