Candace Cameron Bure vows to be a ‘good role model’ on ‘DWTS’

Female celebrities regularly don skimpy sequined outfits on “Dancing With the Stars,” but don’t expect Season 18 contestant Candace Cameron Bure to follow suit. The “Full House” alum has vowed to keep it clean and be a “good role model” for her family during her stint on the show, according to a March 18 report from Us Weekly.

Bure, who has three children -- daughter Natasha, 15, and sons Lev, 14, and Maksim, 12 -- with her husband, Valeri Bure, told the magazine that she’ll wear modest outfits for her “DWTS” routines.

"I won't be the sexiest one out there," she said. "I am a mom and I want to be a good role model for my children and my husband. But I think for each dance we'll wear what reflects the dance but in the most classy way possible."

The 37-year-old actress also revealed that she plans to represent all the moms everywhere: “I'm just a woman, I'm not any different than all the moms out there -- my priority is my family, my husband, my kids and so this for me is truly just a joy,” she said.

On Monday night’s premiere, Bure, a devout Christian, gave pro partner Mark Ballas a heads up that she’d “probably stay on the more modest end of costuming."

Another “DWTS” competitor who plans to stay on the modest side is Cody Simpson. The 17-year-old Aussie pop singer has been instructed by his girlfriend, model Gigi Hadid, to keep the hip action down to a minimum with pro partner Witney Carson. Simpson told People that Hadid told him, "'Don't move your hips too much in front of [Witney].'"

“Dancing With the Stars” airs on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
