Candace Cameron Bure has recently been announced as a 'DWTS' season 18 contestant. The former "Full House" star and mother of three will be dancing for the mirrorball trophy and she's definitely looking forward to it. In a People report dated Weds. March 12, Bure opened up about the experience and her strong support system (her family).

"I couldn't do it without their support because it really is a huge schedule, and as much as it is really physically challenging, it's also mentally challenging," Cameron Bure shared with PEOPLE at Tuesday's Muppets Most Wanted Hollywood premiere, presented by Toyota.

"My family is really excited that I'm doing the show, my husband is rooting me on, my kids just want to be a part of it in every way that they can be, so it's just great."

Bure, 37, has been married to NHL hockey player Valeri Bure since 1996. The devout Christian family remains close-knit, and will be following Candace's "DWTS" journey.

Also earning the approval of her family, is her pro dance partner Mark Ballas, though her family would have been happy with any of them.

"I literally screamed when I saw Mark! We just go together really well, and he's really patient, and very kind, and very gentle, so I was really happy," she explained.

Aside from acting and producing, Bure is a best-selling author. Now, she can add "dancer" to her growing resume.

Still, Bure knows she is in for some serious competition. Olympians Meryl Davis and Charlie White who will be competing separately have already got Candace shaking in her dancing shoes.

"Hello! They're Olympic gold medalists!" she joked. "They're 'ice dancers'! Hello?!"

Bure isn't the only former child star who will be featured on season 18. Danica McKellar, who was widely known as "Winnie" on "The Wonder Years" will also be showing off her skills in hopes of earning the mirrorball trophy.

Another notable contestant on this upcoming season is US paralympic snowboarder and "Amazing Race" star Amy Purdy. She is the first ever contestant to compete with prosthetic legs.

As usual, it appears that a solid cast has been chosen for the upcoming which airs on ABC on Mon. March 17. To meet the entire cast, go here.
