According to Wednesday's WTAE News, a cancer-stricken man in Pittsburgh, Pa., is hoping that he will be able to locate his stolen dog and say good-bye, before he dies.

Mark Boehler has stage-3 esophageal cancer and his future is uncertain.

This past November, his eight-year-old Siberian husky, Thor, was stolen from his yard while he was undergoing chemotherapy and Boehler has not seen him since.

This week, Pittsburgh police arrested Gisele Paris, the woman who is believed to be responsible for Thor's disappearance.

The break in the case came on Jan. 9 when Paris took Thor to Penn Animal Hospital - staff at the veterinary hospital recognized the dog and questioned Paris about her ownership.

Paris allegedly became "irate" and left.

The authorities visited Paris' home late last week and questioned her about the missing dog...allegedly admitted to having the dog, but claimed that Thor was having surgery at an undisclosed veterinary hospital.

On Tuesday, when Paris was being apprehended, she put up a fight and assaulted the arresting officers; she was eventually taken to jail.

Unfortunately, though the alleged thief is behind bars, Thor remains unaccounted for.

Anyone with information about the dog's location is asked to call: Zone 3 police at 412-488-8425.
