Stephen Colbert allegedly made an inappropriate joke that upset viewers so much they went to Twitter to speak out. On March 27, #CancelColbert started to trend right away. The Blaze shared about what he did that upset so many people.

The Colbert Report went to Twitter and said, “I am willing to show #Asian community I care by introducing the Ching-Chong Ding-Dong Foundation for Sensitivity to Orientals or Whatever.” This was considered racist and got a lot of people really upset about his comment.

The thing is Stephen plays a character on television that would say this kind of thing. A lot of people think that he was just trying to be his character and this is not the type of thing that Stephen Colbert would tweet out normally.

This tweet later got deleted and then the account tweeted out "For the record @ColbertReport is not controlled by Stephen Colbert or his show. He is @StephenAtHome Sorry for the confusion #CancelColbert." They are trying to cover up, but the damage is done and it is too late. If Stephen sent the tweet or not, he is going to get the blame.

He even went to Twitter teasing that he agrees they should cancel Colbert and said that it wasn't him. The damage is already done though and viewers want them to #CancelColbert.
