Canadians win World Cup moguls events in Calgary

According to the Canadian Press, Canadians were victorious twice on Saturday at the World Cup moguls events at Calgary's Canada Olympic Park.

Mikael Kingsbury of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec won the gold medal with a score of 25.95 points. Canadian Olympic champion Alexander Bilodeau of Montreal, Quebec won the silver medal with a score of 25.43 points, with Patrick Deneen of the United States finishing in third place with a score of 23.45 points.

The other Canadian mogulist to be victorious on Saturday was Justine Dufour-Lapointe of Montreal, who won the women's competition with a score of 23.56 points. Hannah Kearney of the United States was second with a score of 23.29 points, followed by Justine's older sister, Chloe Dufour-Lapointe with a score of 22.45 points.

The victories by Kingsbury and Dufour-Lapointe are significant because they come with the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi only one month away.

With the wins, Kingsbury and Justine Dufour-Lapointe move into first place in the World Cup standings. Justine Dufour-Lapointe is tied with Kearney.
