According to the International Ski Federation website, it was a golden day for Canada on Saturday in men's and women's moguls competition at Calgary's Canada Olympic Park.
In the women's competition, the Montreal sisters of Justine Dufour-Lapointe and Chloe Dufour-Lapointe finished an impressive first and second place respectively.
Justine Dufour-Lapointe posted a score of 22.49 points to record her first career World Cup victory in women's moguls. It was 0.26 points better than her sister Chloe. Eliza Outtrim of the United States finished in third place with a score of 21.42 points.
Olympic champion Hannah Kearney of the United States, who also won last week in Lake Placid, finished out of the medals in fifth spot.
Justine Dufour-Lapointe now has 280 World Cup points and leads Heather McPhie of the United States by 75 points in the World Cup standings. Chloe Dufour-Lapointe is in third place with 199 points.
On the men's side, Mikael Kingsbury of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec continued his excellent start to the season with a second straight World Cup win after placing first in Lake Placid last week. Alexandr Smyshlyaev of Russia was second, with Japan's Sho Endo in third.
Kingbury had 24 points at Canada Olympic Park today to beat Smyshlyaev by a tenth of a point.
The next World Cup moguls competition is January 31 in Deer Valley, Utah.
