Canadians dominate at Freestyle World Ski Championships in Oslo on Wednesday

According to CBC Sports, Canadians finished in first and second place in the men's moguls competition at the 2013 Freestyle World Ski Championships in Voss, Norway (just outside of Oslo) on Wednesday.

Mikael Kingsbury of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec recorded 27.59 points to finish in first place, with Olympic champion Alexandre Bilodeau of Montreal, Quebec right behind Kingsbury with 26.95 points.

Kingsbury improved on his third place position at the 2011 Freestyle World Ski Championships in Deer Valley, Utah.

It has been an outstanding season for Kingsbury, who won has won five World Cup competitions, including a World Cup in Sochi, Russia on February 15, the host site of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

On the women's side, Justine Dufour-Lapointe of Montreal won the bronze medal in women's moguls, also putting herself as a serious Canadian medal contender as well. The women's moguls world championship was won by Hannah Kearney of the United States, who had a great rivalry with Canadian Jennifer Heil for many years.
