It’s back to the practice range for the three Canadians in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
Weyburn’s Graham DeLaet, Matt McQuillan of Kingston and Mike Weir of Bright’s Grove all came up short on Saturday.
DeLaet did make the cut but landed in the cruel MDF (made cut didn’t finish) zone when he made birdie on the final hole of the Monterey Peninsula course to finish at even par for the tournament. He’s eligible for last place money.
McQuillan carded a six-over 78 Saturday in a round on the Pebble Beach track that included five bogeys and a double. He finished at seven-over 221 for the three days.
Mike Weir also shot 78 in a round featuring two doubles on the par 5 first and 14th holes. He was tied with McQuillan at seven-over.
Tournament leader Charlie Wi of South Korea went without a bogey at Spyglass Hill and leads Ken Duke by three shots heading into the final round.
Tiger Woods shot up the leaderboard by firing a five-under 67 at Pebble Beach. He’s alone in third, four shots behind Wi going into the tournament’s last day.
