According to Bob Weekes of TSN in his curling blog on Monday, the Canadian Olympic women's curling team are auctioning off their jerseys that they wore at the 2013 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials in Winnipeg to offset the costs for their families to get to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

At the present time people who are interested, can bid on Dawn McEwen's jersey on eBay by clicking here. The current bid is $480 US and according to Jessica Botelho-Urbanski of the Winnipeg Free Press, there are seven more days to bid on McEwen's jersey.

McEwen meanwhile is the Team Canada lead. It will be very interesting to see how much the jersey for Jennifer Jones will cost.

According to Weekes, it cost Canadian Olympic gold medalist and curling legend Russ Howard a total of $26,000 for his wife and two children to make the trip to the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin. That was the last time a Canadian curling team had to travel out of the country for an Olympic Winter Games.
