Folk legend Gordon Lightfoot will perform at the Sanford Center in Bemidji, Minnesota, Sunday September 15, 2013. Lightfoot has had a stream of hits from over five decades of music. The Canadian singer-songwriter who achieved international success in folk, folk-rock, and country music, and has been credited for helping define the folk-pop sound of the 1960s and 1970s.
Currently Lightfoot is embarking on the 50 years on the Carefree Highway tour. Come out and see Lightfoot perform his biggest hits, including ‘Sundown,’ (which was the only song to hit number one in the USA). ‘The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,’ ‘Carefree Highway,’ and ‘If You Could Read My Mind.’
Lightfoot, 74, continues to tour well over 60 shows a year and also has performed with members in his band over 40 years.
