The tournament was a major preparation tournament for team Canada as they get organized for the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games. It was also a test event for Paralympic Games' organizers.
Greg Westlake of Oakville, Ontario scored twice as Canada defeated Norway 5-0 in Sunday's championship game. Other Canadians to score were Adam Dixon of Midland, Ontario, Marc Dorion of Bourget, Ontario and Billy Bridges of Summerside, Prince Edward Island.
It was a complete game for the Canadian team, who gave up fewer shots to Norway (4) than they scored goals (5).
Canada beat the Czech Republic 3-1, Norway 5-1 and Russia 4-3 in a shootout in the round robin before beating Russia again 2-1 in Saturday's semi-final.
The preliminary games for the sledge hockey tournament will be March 8, 9 and 11. Canada won the gold medal at the 2006 Paralympic Games in Torino.
