The Canadians defeated China 10-6 in the men's semi-final. With the game tied at four points apiece, the Canadian team made three outstanding shots in the seventh end to break a 4-4 tie. Canadian third Ryan Fry made an excellent freeze, and skip Brad Jacobs made a huge double takeout and then a draw for three points.
With the win, Canada will now play Great Britain in the men's curling gold medal game (Friday, CBC, 6:30 a.m.). Great Britain defeated Sweden 6-5 in the other-semi final. He beat Jean-Michel Menard of Amos, Quebec 7-4 in 2006 and Kevin Martin of Edmonton 6-5 in 2009.
In the round robin, Canada (7-2) defeated Great Britain (5-4) by a score of 9-6.
