There is an old saying “pure thought has power”. If our thoughts have power behind them, what power do our spoken words have? Think back to a day when you were down in the dumps. Maybe your car didn’t start that morning then you were late to work. On the way into work, you stepped into a muddy puddle. The day seemed to be a never ending day of bad luck.
Then one out of the blue, a stranger gives you a complement. “I really like that shirt”. For that brief moment did your attitude change? Did you feel a bit uplifted? We have the power in ourselves to make an impact on everyone we meet.
We can lift them up with our words or we can tare them down. How would your day change if you made a conscious effort to see something positive in everyone you came in contact with? I challenge you for one day, to see something positive within everyone that you come in contact with in the next day. Let them know, your positive words. Share with them the greatness that is within them. I promise you, you will not only uplift others but you will uplift yourself too.
