Yes, it is possible. You need to work with your aesthetician to determine the right amount
More and more, we see celebrities who look less real and more like some creature from a horror movie. Joan Rivers is a big name, but she is not the only one. Other well-known Botox patients include Courteney Cox, Lara Flynn Boyle, Barbra Streisand, Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise.
You can work with your aesthetician to make sure you get the right amount of Botox while not overdoing it.
If you are considering getting Botox to remove wrinkles and help you look younger, you need to understand that too much can actually work against you. I interviewed Lori Mitchell, RN of Roseville Aesthetics, for some wise advice on the Botox front.
You can have too much or too little Botox
On the too much front, just look at a recent picture of Joan Rivers. Her face looks frozen. On the too little front, you can start with a light treatment and then move forward. That is a safer approach.
Determining the balance is the RN’s job. In California, an aesthetician must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in order to apply Botox. Your RN should start on the light end because you can always put more. You can’t take it away. It just takes time to wear off. Experienced RNs under-inject. Lori says, “I do what I think would be therapeutic and give you the results that you want. You may need to come in for a touch-up because I don’t want to over apply.”
If you get too much Botox in the forehead, it can actually droop your brows. That is a possible side effect if you over inject in the forehead. Too much Botox can actually make the brows real heavy. The celebrities I listed (above) all have a trait called “Botox brow.” Celebrity watchers know to watch for the “Botox brow.” You can avoid that. Start slowly and follow your aesthetician’s advice.
