A recent debate has been emerging among those in the paranormal field with regards to oceans and whether or not an ocean can be haunted, or more specifically can spirits, be present in the ocean. Now one who believes in spirits and the like may instinctively say “yes” to this question, one has to consider some things in this belief that may go against what you may believe.
One point that one may want to consider is this, the ocean has a high level of mineral content, especially salt. Many people believe that salt, specifically sea salt is a way to block and ward off spirits. So if the ocean were to have spirit entities residing in her depths, how are they able to manifest and flourish in what many would think is an anti spirit environment?
Another point to consider is whether these spirits would be residual or not. Residual energy is usually attached to a place, a thing etc. Would residual energy be trapped in the depths of the ocean, and could one capture this via video/photograph say, near the resting place of the Titanic? Surely so many lives lost would have a lot of spiritual residue left behind. It's an interesting thought to ponder from the paranormal point of view. Many artifacts that have been recovered from the ocean have been alleged to have a spirit attachment, but was this spirit able to manifest in the ocean?
The Bermuda triangle is an area that is off of the coast of the eastern United States and many have thrown this area into the debate. The question here is, is this area haunted by the mysterious disappearances? Or, is this place actually some portal to otherworldly sources that are not in the spirit realm?
