Can't travel somewhere warmer this winter? Watch these classics instead then

The budget is tight, it's snowing, the wind chill is -40, and you're about to go stir crazy, here's an idea: bundle up with blankets on the couch and watch these classic movies that are listed below. They may make you forget for at least for a few hours that it's winter outside instead of summer.

  • "Mutiny on the Bounty" (1962)

"Mutiny on the Bounty," a tale about a hardened sea captain and how his crew handles the whole situation is a vibrant tale. Marlon Brando clashes against Trevor Howard. It doesn't get anymore tropical than this movie!

It depends which you would like to watch, though both are great. There is "Kon-Tiki" the fictional account of the story, which was made in 2012. It's a vibrant movie. There is also the 1950 documentary about Thor Heyerdahl and the gang too. Either way both will make you entertained and forget about snow and ice.

  • "Dr. No" (1962)

"Dr. No," is the first Sean Connery James Bond movie. It mixes suspense, romance, and Jamaica all in one exciting story! Definitely a great Bond film!

"Thunderball," is another Sean Connery Bond movie. This time the plot takes James Bond to the Bahamas. "Thunderball," is the fourth James Bond movie.

  • "Blue Hawaii" (1961)

This pick is f or the Elvis Presley fans. Presley played a man who gets out of the army and is back in Hawaii. There he hangs out with his friends and girlfriend. His mother though wants him to take over the family business. This one is supposedly the first of three Presley movies to have been shot in Hawaii.

  • "The Blue Lagoon" (1949)

Some probably remember more of the Shields and Atkins movie but actually that one was a remake. This "Blue Lagoon," movie is a British movie that starred Jean Simmons and Donald Houston. The same story is there, they are shipwrecked as child, and slowly fall in love as they get older..

So hopefully these classic movies will make for those who are sick of living in a winter wonderland, a tropical wonderland instead.
