Can't get enough House of Cards? Check out the original

If binge-watching the entire second season of House of Cards on Netflix has left a void, it might be time to check out the original BBC version. Fans of the Kevin Spacey version have lauded its originality and harsh view of the American political system, but the original version out of the UK is not only darker but also better in some ways.

Coming from the firm belief that British accents make everything better, it was a foregone conclusion that this writer would feel this way. But it's not just the accents and style of this BBC miniseries that make it so compelling; it's the biting sarcasm and wit.

At the very least, it's worth comparing the two versions, especially if the 13 episodes of Season 2 didn't last very long.
