Can SLP Orioles end 2013 with win at Farmington?

After starting the 2013-14 season without a win, the St. Louis Park Orioles girls hockey team went to Waseca to play in a tournament December 26-28 and won three straight games.

On the 26th, they picked up their first win with a 5-2 victory over the Faribault Falcons. They held off the host Waseca Blue Jays on the 27th, coming away with a 4-1 win. St. Louis Park made it three in a row on the 28th when Molly Arntson scored two goals en route to a 3-0 shut out over the Minnehaha Academy Redhawks.

Now it's back to regular season play for head coach Donnie Williams and the Orioles. They will head to Farmington on New Years Eve to play an 11 AM game against the Tigers at Schmitz-Maki Arena. Can they end 2013 with their fourth straight win?

The Orioles will start 2014 with a couple of road games. They will play the Simley Spartans on Friday, January 3 at 7:30 in Inver Grove Heights and head down Highway 7 on Thursday, January 9 for a 7 PM with the Hutchinson Tigers. Their next home game is Saturday, January 11 against the Spring Lake Park Panthers at 5:45 at The Rec Center.
