Can I receive all my Protein in One Daily Amount?

You have most likely already researched and found out that protein is an essential part of your diet, and that especially applies to you if you want to build muscle and become a beast in size and strength. However, people still try to find shorter paths to getting the daily amount of nutrients that they need, and one of those is of course protein. With so many grams of protein that you need to have in your daily intake who honestly would not want to get it over with?

There are different views over the subject of consuming all of your protein in one sitting, but almost everything that has to do with fitness will come with different recommendations and theories. However, from my experience I believe there are simple reasons for why you should not go about doing this, which are:

• Carbohydrates and Protein – Cramming so much protein into your body in one sitting just makes you bloated and without any room for other essential foods such as carbs. Your body is going to be in desperate need of energy while protein is in the process of repairing your muscles during, and after your workout. That is what carbs are there for among other reasons, and without room for them all of that protein becomes useless.

• Protein is Used the Entire Day – When you pack up all that protein in your body in one sitting, what do you have left later in the day? Believe it or not, but your muscles have micro, telescopic tears in them after your have endured physical tasks, and this applies to not just working out at the gym. Simply walking up two flights of stairs actually tears your muscles, thus the need for protein to constantly repair your muscles the entire day.

However, when you eat all your daily protein in one sitting you have just that for the day. What your body is going to do is use what it needs for three hours, and that is me being extremely giving on the time a human body has been researched to use the protein consumed. Now after that the left over protein is sent out the other end without anymore left for your body later in the day.

• Possible Fat Gains – As mentioned earlier you will just be too full to each much of anything else for most of the day. This only leads to weight gain because with protein you need the carbs, and when you force those carbs down without much else to break down with them they turn into fat!

All of this is just from my own belief and experience in the whole process of fitness training. Do not change your diet if taking protein in one sitting has been working for you, why change what is already good? However, if you are starting to feel sore and lethargic from this diet then it is most likely destroying your muscles from within! Switch over to a regular protein intake throughout the day and see how much better it turns out for you.
