George Michael, pop icon and ex-Wham singer, is planning to return to his Symphonica/ The Orchestral Tour despite being hospitalized on Monday with a serious viral infection in Vienna, Austria.
UK’s Express reports that a spokesman for the "Father Figure" hitmaker released a statement saying, "He is slowly getting better,” and apologized to fans by explaining, “He was forced to postpone dates in Vienna and Strasbourg under doctor’s orders after being diagnosed with pneumonia. He is receiving treatment.”
The rep for the “I Want Your Sex” singer also added, “With great regret, George Michael has been forced to postpone his November 26 and 27 shows in Cardiff due to his illness.”
However, the 48-year old Faith vocalist hopes to be back on track and onstage for his concert in Liverpool, UK -- currently scheduled next week on November 30, before continuing on to GB concert dates in Newcastle, (12\3\11). Glasgow (12\6\11 – 12\7\11), and Birmingham (12\9\11).
