Can Divergent live up to Hunger Games?

Not according to Arch Campbell of WJLA. The local movie critic thinks that the newly released movie, starring Shailene Woodley and Kate Winslet, feels like Hunger Games but 'without the zest.'

Divergent is based on the wildly popular book by Veronica Roth, and follows Tris (played by Woodley) in a dystopian Chicago where society is divided into discrete factions based on human virtues.

It does look like Divergent may have a tough climb to reach Hunger Games proportions: the movie, only released yesterday, has a mere two-star rating on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to Hunger Games' four stars. Will Divergent leave the long-lasting impression that Hunger Games did? Only time will tell.
