Camping World continues relationship with Truck Series

NASCAR announced on Monday that Camping World has signed on to be the title sponsor of the Truck Series through 2022, adding seven years to the length of the relationship between the two entities.

"The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has one of the most consistent and durable audiences in all of sports, averaging approximately 800,000 or more television viewers per event over the past six years," NASCAR Chief Marketing Officer Steve Phelps said. "Camping World's seven-year continued commitment to our sport demonstrates its confidence in our on-track product and strength of our brand-loyal fan base."

Under the new deal, Camping World's Good Sam Roadside Assistance program may boast its status as Official Roadside Assistance of NASCAR.

"Camping World and NASCAR are mutually invested in the growth of a national series that is celebrated for its exciting brand of racing and the most loyal fan base in the country," Camping World and Good Sam Enterprises Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis said. "Six years ago, we felt strongly that the sponsorship would dramatically increase our customer base, and it's delivered. We expect to see continued success in the coming years."

The Truck Series became known as the Camping World Truck Series in 2009 when Camping World replaced Craftsman as title sponsor. Craftsman has been the only other title sponsor of the series, to date. The Truck Series began in 1995 under the moniker SuperTruck Series presented by Craftsman and was renamed the Craftsman Truck Series the following year. By the end of the newly-extended agreement, Camping World will become the longest-running title sponsor of the series.

The next race for the Camping World Truck Series is scheduled for Friday night at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. It'll be the third race of the 22-race 2014 season.
