Though emergency responders and law enforcement officials tried to revive the victim of the shooting at the scene of the shooting, the person ended up being pronounced dead at a hospital on the military base.
The Marine who shot and killed the Marine with his M4 rifle is now in custody and will be questioned by the Naval Criminal Investigative Services.
The victim’s name is being withheld until family can be notified. Additionally, the name of the shooter has not been released as of yet. All that is known about the shooter is that the shooter is a male.
