Winter in San Antonio is almost over.
Right, we did have a few frosty mornings over the past month.
So with warmer weather coming soon, we can start to look ahead for activities and summer camps for kids.
You can get a jumpstart on the decision of "what to do with the kids this summer?" by attending the upcoming "Camp Fair 2012".
This is the 17th year for the Camp Fair that is sponsored by Our Kids San Antonio Magazine and will be held on Sunday February 26, 2012 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Alzafar Shrine Center. The location is 901 N. Loop 1604 between Stone Oak Parkway and Blanco Road. It is a free admission, open house event for the public. See the link above for all the details.
The fair will provide information from local area programs such as overnight camps, summer childcare and schools. It is a great opportunity to meet representatives that can help answer questions for both parents and school aged children. For example, one exhibitor will be AuPairCare, an international agency that provides live in childcare services. And while you are thinking about the summer options for the children, the Camp Fair will include some fun activities such as demonstrations and performances and door prizes.
Our Kids San Antonio Magazine is a free monthly publication that has been providing resources and information for San Antonio parents for over 27 years. The helpful issues are available at most grocery stands throughout San Antonio. Each issue has a theme and a local calendar of events in San Antonio.
