Camouflage took front-and-center as designer Michael Kors presented his Womenswear and Menswear ranges on the runway at the Michael Kors Fall 2013 fashion show for New York Fashion Week on February 13, 2013 in New York City.
The look is stark with black being the baseline, adding bright colors such as cobalt blue, orange, yellow and designs such camouflage in different color combinations as well as houndstooth or quilted touches for added interest.
In camouflage, there’s a stunning woodland camouflage overcoat (khaki, brown, black and green), though the camouflage patterned cobalt blue, black and white coat for women isn’t bad either!
For men, there are woodland camouflage pants, teamed with a well-rendered beige overcoat. In eveningwear for men, the black tuxedo on French model Clement Chabernaud was elegant.
The Menswear orange trench coat is pretty yummy as well and could easily be unisex, ladies…
Definite possibilities in outerwear in this Michael Kors Fall 2013 collection include the orange and black partially quilted coat, a cobalt and black hooded coat and a saffron yellow double-breasted coat with wide lapels.
Among his dresses, there’s an edgy quilted patterned pewter and black strapless dress that is particularly stunning. His high-low dresses with black bodices and solid colored skirts in orange, yellow and cobalt blue are awesome as well.
Nicely done Michael Kors for Fall 2013 and thanks for bringing camouflage back! Glad we’ll be able to enjoy our camouflage pieces this year without feeling out of vogue…
