Camille Grammer has had a rough road since announcing that she underwent a radical hysterectomy as part of treatment for endometrial cancer. Since that time, she has suffered a brutal attack from her then boyfriend, Dimitri Charalambopoulos, dealt with legal hurdles seeking multiple retraining orders against Dimitri, and underwent grueling chemotherapy and radiation treatments to fight her cancer.
Camille may finally have some good news and will start 2014 off on a good note as she shared with Radar Online that she has finished her chemotherapy and radiation treatments and is officially cancer free! In the interview, published yesterday, Camille told the entertainment blog:
“I just finished my chemotherapy and radiation treatment for my cancer, and can happily say, I’m cancer free! There are no traces of endometrial cancer found, and I’m incredibly lucky and blessed. I’m so thankful for the support from the sisterhood of the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. All of the cast members, current and past, have just been incredible to me.
From Lisa, Brandi, Yolanda and Kyle offering to take me to dinner, Taylor (Armstrong), and Kim Richards, who would call me routinely to check up on me, the ladies were just all fantastic.
It was like when I was on RHOBH, there would be drama on the show, but when something happened to one of us off camera, in our personal lives, we all rallied behind each other. It truly is a sisterhood that I’m proud to be a part of, and it helped me tremendously during this scary time.”
Although Camille was often feuding with her former RHOBH cast mates while the show aired, it is wonderful to see that they provided a great source of support for her during this difficult time. Here's hoping that Camille remains cancer free and far away from Dimitri.
