Camille Grammer is doing well after completing chemotherapy and radiation treatments for endometrial cancer.

"I rang the bell at MD Anderson Cancer Center, which marks that I have completed my chemo and radiation treatments. YAY," Grammer tweeted Jan. 3.

The former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star underwent a radical hysterectomy for early-stage endometrial cancer in October 2013.

Camille, the ex-wife of actor Kelsey Grammer, decided to get the surgery because of a genetic predisposition. She underwent genetic testing several years ago and was advised to get a hysterectomy back then, but held off until last year. Camille's mom is a survivor of Stage 3 ovarian cancer.

In November 2013, Grammer went on the Dr. Oz Show to discuss her cancer and alleged physical assault by ex-boyfriend, Dimitri Charalambopoulos.

Camille was granted a three-year restraining order against Charalambopoulos after he allegedly beat her in a Houston hotel room shortly after her hysterectomy. "I was physically abused and assaulted by this person and it was very traumatizing," she told Dr. Oz.

Camille has overcome the traumatic incident and is ready to move forward with her life. "I'm working with a therapist and I'm going to be okay," she said. "I'm doing well."

A radical hysterectomy involves the complete removal of the uterus, cervix, upper vagina, and parametrium. It's unclear exactly what causes endometrial cancer, which affects the lining of the uterus. Risk factors include hormone imbalance, high blood pressure and diabetes, and symptoms include pelvic pain and vaginal bleeding.

Radio personality Robin Quivers recently overcame her battle with endometrial cancer by undergoing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Quivers, 61, credited a vegan diet for helping her body heal after cancer in her memoir The Vegucation of Robin.
