Cameron Diaz loves truffles. So much so that she went on an excursion of the truffle hunting kind. Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Diaz shared her truffle search with those who haven’t been outside to look for the delicacies that Hollywood adores.
Paying a farmer to allow her and a few of truffle enthusiasts to hit the forests, the actress describes the experience as extremely unique. Following the truffle sniffing dogs, the idea is to locate, dig up and recover truffles to eat. The fungi is definitely an extreme flavor that people pay hundreds of dollars to have.
'I went on a truffle hunt with these dogs," says Cameron Diaz. “I am pretty sure we didn't need these dogs as I found three truffles about a foot down in the dirt myself.”
The rich and famous (as well as tourists) definitely find truffle hunts to be one of the most interesting opportunities when going to Europe. Several actors have described these ‘hunts’ but so few have shared just how much fun it is to find a fungi in the woods.
