Cameron Diaz new home

Californian Cameron Diaz has reportedly purchased a $9.35 million Chelsea apartment in New York City's Manhattan in the 50 unit Walker Tower built in 1929. The penthouse in the fancy luxury condo tower just sold for $55 million.

Cameron's condo has 3-bedroom, 3.5 baths in a 3,022-square-foot living area. The Statue of Liberty and the Freedom Tower can be seen from several of the condo's windows. Katie Holmes is a Chelsea neighbor.

The 85-year-old previous Verizon building-gone-condo still has an art deco exterior but has been top-of-the-line updated. The interiors have radiant floor heating, herringbone oak flooring, high-end appliances, and Crestron home automation systems complete with iPad docks.

The building's amenities offer a gym, yoga studio, sauna, 24-hour doorman, refrigerated storage for deliveries, and a library lounge with pantry and bar. The maintenance and real estate taxes add about $5,000 monthly to the cost of living in the tower.

Read Cameron Michelle Diaz's biography for her list of roles in films like Being John Malkovich and There’s Something About Mary. She is currently promoting her book, The Body Book and filming in the role of tyrannical Miss Hannigan in the remake of Annie to be out in 2014, perhaps an appropriate role for one who spends millions on a home instead of caring about orphans.
