Cameron Diaz is now a shoe designer. The 41-year-old has took on the role as creative director for accessories and shoe line Pour La Victoire, according to PEOPLE on Feb. 3.

Diaz will help oversee the artistic direction of the shoe collection. She also designed her first shoes in the collection.

The fall 2014 collection includes lots of neutrals, suede, leather, and high heels. Diaz has made it clear that she doesn't want her name all over the brand. She just wants to add a touch of her class and style to the collection.

“When I first came to PLV, I saw the potential in it because it was a brand that didn’t really have its own identity,” she tells Footwear News, adding that she wanted to “pare down” and “refine” the existing collections. “It was a little bit all over the place. I looked at it as an opportunity to help create that.”

Diaz admitted she spent a lot of late nights at the Pour La Victoire showroom. But she doesn't mind. She said, "This is very important to me. I'm not a person who does anything halfway."

Cameron Diaz does want to make it clear that she wants to design shoes for other girls. She says, “I don’t want girls to aspire to be me. That’s not what this brand is about. It’s not about wearing a shoe I would wear,” she said. “I want them to see themselves in this shoe.”
