Cameron Diaz will join a host of other actors to present at the 84th Academy Awards, the ceremony’s producers Brian Grazer and Don Mischer announced today.
The “Charlie’s Angels” actress is the most recent to have been added to the roster of previously announced presenters. Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and the cast of “Bridesmaids” – Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne, Ellie Kemper and Wendi McLendon-Covey – will present at the ceremony.
Although Diaz has not been nominated for an Oscar, she presented at the 2010 ceremony and has also earned four Golden Globe nods for her roles in “Gangs of New York,” “Vanilla Sky,” “Being John Malkovich” and “There’s Something About Mary.”
Diaz graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School in 1990. Fellow Oscars presenter and costar McLendon-Covey earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at CSULB. Both actresses, along with presenter Lopez, star in the upcoming film “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” which will hit theaters May 18.
Cruise costarred with Diaz in the film “Knight and Day,” which released in 2010.
