Cambridge restaurants: The Asgard Irish Pub and Restaurant

If you want to find classic Irish pub atmosphere in Cambridge, Asgard Irish Pub and Restaurant is the place to go. It was designed in Ireland and decorated with wood that is over 150 years old. The restaurant and pub has large communal tables giving the pub a traditional feel. The Asgard has live bands Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, and the best part is that there is no cover charge to hear the music.

The Asgard has a varied menu serving mostly American fare, though there are some traditional Irish dishes such as Irish Stout Pie, Banger and Mash, and Fish and Chips. The Asgard also has an extensive beer list in both bottle and draught, ranging from common American beers to more exotic beers - beers with names like Allagash White and Bellhaven Scottish Ale. There is also a pretty decent wine list and a variety of martinis. To solve parking problems in Cambridge, the Asgard validates parking for the University Park/Hotel parking garage located behind the Asgard on Green Street.

The cost of parking is only $3.00 for three hours. There is also plenty of on street parking on the streets around the Asgard. For a blend of old Irish atmosphere and New England fare the Asgard Irish Pub and Restaurant has a little bit of something for everyone.
