Which one is your favorite? The majority like Dodge for comfort and convenience mixed with big block sound and lots of predictable power. The Ford crowd enjoys a car that is built almost identical to a race car and Ford's rich racing heritage shows in it's performance division's creations. The Camaro crowd enjoys luxury mixed with race car, lots of power, and great sound. Naturally, the Camaro is the winner overall. Through out history, Camaro is usually the fastest and nothing has changed. But Ford typically builds there cars with lots of emissions and with slight modifications can usually gain major power. The Chevrolets are built with minimal emissions typically, and are easily modified for gains as well.
Modifications for all three vehicles should be easily done by following techniques used in the past. Not the 1960's past, but more modern tuning and performance that started with 1990's generation vehicles. Fuel injection, ECU tuning, forced induction, and free flow exhaust will really wake up any of these vehicles. The Camaro is the fastest from the factory, but which one is the fastest fully modified?
Performance parts for 2010 models:
Mustang using a Whipple charger typically dominates in pure power, but it can find issue with putting the power to the ground. Will the new design cure this ailment? We'll see. The Camaro used to have problems putting power to the ground for unexperienced drivers, but according to several reviews the new model has more weight over the rear wheels which reduces unwanted wheel spin. The Dodge Challenger hasn't been with us since time's of yore, so we'll assume it will follow the recent HEMI mods used on Charger's and 300's. Very capable design with lots of power. Addition of forced induction, all three of these vehicles will make great lab rats for performance tuners everywhere. I can't wait to see what kind of power they come up with!
