Camaro drives under semi trailer

Merry Christmas! My gift to you is a dinner conversation piece. Have you ever wondered if your car can fit under a semi trailer? If so, I believe you have something in common with the star of this movie. A Camaro drives under a semi trailer with ease, as if something directly out of fast and furious. There is no CGI though, and this is completely real. I guess the driver was just curious if the Camaro could indeed fit under a trailer, and it worked! The bad thing though is that this trailer is loaded with mega weight construction I-beams. This of course gives the Camaro the extra needed headroom to successfully navigate the trick. Something tells me this was planned!

This was no normal trailer and the scenario would have played out different if there was your average trailer. Much higher due to using the cargo as a beam, the Camaro easily fit with room to spare. But the question arises, could a Camaro fit under the average trailer? Many people think their sports car can do it, but the truth is that it can't. The average sports car is no where near low enough to successfully navigate an "under the trailer" pass.

The standard height for this generation of Camaro is 51.29 inches. The average semi dock height is 50 inches, but there is also structural components we need to account. Total room left over is about 41 inches of leeway before colliding with the trailer. In order to fit a Camaro under the average semi, a drop of 10 inches would be needed. This could only be done by a chopped roof combined with extreme suspension lowering. So the answer is no, your Camaro can not fit under the average semi. It would take a vehicle with a ride height less than 41 inches to successfully slide under the average semi trailer, not including suspension variation due to road conditions.
